West Lake of Hangzhou is the only lake in China that enjoys the World Cultural Heritage status , enjoying an international reputation of its idyllic scenery and plentiful cultural spots in its territory.

Zen tea refers to the tea grown ,made,and consumed by monks only .The Zen Tea culture of Hagnzhou boasts a long history. It’s the monks initially started to grow and drank tea. The city’s Lingyin Temple hosts the Cloud and Forest Tea Party every year to promote the ‘Zen Tea’ culture. That’s why the temple is also worth visiting.

l   Meijiawu Tea Culture Village

l   Six Harmonies Pagoda

Embraced by mountainsand boasts natural scenery, cottages with coves and murmuring streams, green tea and rich culture, the Meijiawu Tea Culture Village is an A-level protection zone and a main production zone of West Lake Longjing Tea. As a natural village and tourism attraction, it is one of the most typical tea villages. It has been named the Green Garden Village of Hangzhou City and the Cultural Village by Hangzhou and Zhejiang governments.

Six Harmonies pagoda was originally built in 970 during the Northern Song Dynasty by Qian Hongchu, a king of the Wuyue Kingdom, in order to calm down the tide of Qiangtang River. It is a pavilion-style pagoda of brick and wood. With the height of 59.89 meters, the pagoda appears to have 13 floors from outside, but contains only 7 floors inside. On the top of the pagoda, you can gain a gorgeous view of the Qiantang River. Legend has it that both Wu Song and Lu Zhishen from the novel "Outlaws in the Marsh" died here.

The Hanghou section of the Grand Canal offers the waterway’s most abundant and culturally significant historical sites. The 38^th session of the World Heritage Committee ,held in Doha, Qatar announced on June 22,2014 to include the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in its World Cultural Heritage ‘hall of fame ’.

Qiaoxi Historical Block features the most complete and best-preserved riverside architecture from the end of the Qing Dynasty to the beginning of Republic of China(early 1900s).Its peaceful atmosphere, numerous art-related stores make Qiaoxi a great place to spend half day immersed in traditional culture without the hassle of large crowds.

Grand Canal Museum locates in the eastern side of the Gongcheng bridge. It displays the development of the canal-side history, as well as the people who live around. Besides, after visiting the museum, you will have a better understanding of why the Grand Canal has such a great importance in the development of Hangzhou.

Lao Kai Xin Teahouse was built nearly a century ago, this teahouse maintains its classic Chinese flavor by blending both traditional Chinese tea culture and local Hangzhou opera performances into a rich cultural experience.

l   Wuzhen (watertown)

Wuzhen is an old watertown dating back to one thousands years ago. Slabs tone-paved street runs through the lovely town, on both sides of which stands century-old wooden architecture including pubs, restaurants, pawnshops, weaving and dyeing establishment, and other business. Water lanes and creeks spanned with stone bridges.
